Madrid-born and with a degree in Business Studies, Manuel joined BALDER in 2012 after gaining international experience in both England and Germany. He began his professional journey in the patents department, where he specialized in handling patent applications worldwide and managing patent portfolios. Additionally, he developed expertise in institutional relations, laying the foundation for his career in the field of industrial property.
Inspired by BALDER’s spirit of motivation and continuous improvement, Manuel decided to broaden his knowledge and enhance his professional profile. After completing a degree in Commerce, he earned an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Management from the International University of La Rioja. This advanced qualification allowed him to deepen his understanding of the strategic and legal aspects of his work, solidifying his role as a well-rounded professional in intangible asset management.
Currently, Manuel is a key member of the trademarks team, where he has developed expertise in managing global trademark and design portfolios for international clients. His responsibilities range from defining filing strategies and conducting clearance searches to managing prosecution and enforcement proceedings. He maintains regular contact with national and international trademark offices, ensuring the highest level of protection for his clients’ rights.
In addition to his work at the trademarks department, Manuel plays an active role in the international promotion of the firm. He regularly attends globally recognized intellectual property events, such as INTA and PTMG. At these forums, he not only applies his technical and legal expertise but also strengthens BALDER’s international relationships and enhances the visibility of the firm’s services on a global scale.
