Carmen Romero

After studying Law and the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession in Barcelona, Carmen moved to Madrid to study the Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. It was in this city where she began her professional career in one of the most important law firms in Intellectual Property and New Technologies.

After this experience, she decided to specialize in industrial property and spend a year learning about patent, design and trademark prosecution in a firm specialized in Industrial Property. After this year of learning, in 2017, Carmen joined BALDER, where she has specialized in trademark, design, copyright, unfair competition and patent law. During these years, Carmen also completed a Master’s Degree in Economic Criminal Law focused on crimes against industrial and intellectual property.

Her area of expertise ranges from the global strategy of intangible assets portfolios to their processing and protection, through possible extrajudicial conflicts, drafting of contracts, licenses and any conflict in court. All this in the field of industrial and intellectual property.
Apart from her professional work in the firm, Carmen also attends every year some of the intellectual property congresses of greater impact worldwide such as ECTA and INTA since 2018, where, in addition, to put into practice her knowledge by attending and participating in committees, she does promotional work for BALDER.
